A toddler was left '20 minutes from death' after drinking a Slush Puppie at her friend's birthday party. Two-year-old Arla Agnew, had been enjoying the icy blue slushy drink on Saturday, July 27th, before becoming seriously unwell only 30 minutes later.

The little girl, from Stranraer, Scotland, complained she was tired before her body became grey and she fell unconscious, the Daily Record reports.

Arla's gran, Stacey Agnew, knew something wasn't right with the bubbly little girl when she began to feel unwell and wanted to leave the park the birthday party was at, but became terrified when her granddaughter appeared lifeless, and rushed her to hospital. Hypoglycaemia is where the level of sugar (glucose) in your blood drops too low. Speaking on the 'scariest day of her life' Stacey said: "We were at the park and usually you can’t get Arla away from it, but after she drank the Slush Puppie she started crying.
