Former Hamilton Accies midfielder Gabe Forsyth has signed a contract extension at English Championship side Norwich City and says working with the likes of Scotland stars Kenny McLean and Grant Hanley will bring him on.The 18-year-old moved south from Accies last season and has recently been rubbing shoulders with McLean and Hanley in the first team squad.Forsyth came through the renowned youth academy at New Douglas Park and has clearly made an impression on boss Johannes Hoff Thorup since joining the Canaries' last summer.He made his first team debut for Nowrich in Saturday's opening game of the English Championship, which ended in a 2-0 win for Oxford United, and he has now signed a contract extension which will keep him at the club until 2027.Signing his new deal, Forsyth told the Norwich club media: "It's amazing, after such an enjoyable first season at the club.

All the coaches made me feel welcome, so a big thank you to them. That made it so much easier to play my football and I'm glad to sign another deal at the club."[The good pre-season] was all down to the coaches and the players.

They helped me play my best football. I can't thank them enough for helping me."I have loved it. Johannes and Glen have given me the platform to play so I can't thank them enough.

It was just five or ten minutes to impress them, and thankfully I did. Hopefully I can continue in the squad."I found it quite clear when I went up to the first team with the likes of Kenny [McLean] and Grant [Hanley] getting onto me.
