Golden Globes are like ‘Squid Game’, says actress Lily Gladstone
nme.comThe Kelly Clarkson Show, actress Emily Gladstone shared her honest opinions about attending awards shows.“The Globes was a little bit like Squid Game,” the Killers of The Flower Moon star commented. “I mean the reality is, you’re in shapewear, you need to pee, you have commercial breaks but that’s the only time that you’re able to do it.”Gladstone, however, added some consolation to the situation. “The meeting people is the fun part of it,” she also said. “So, it’s just a mad scramble and that’s the time when you get to like jam in meeting idols like, you know, Meryl Streep.
Of course, that part is not bad.”In the hit Netflix K-drama series, desperate contestants compete with one another in tracksuits, playing a series of deadly playground games in hopes of winning a life-altering cash prize.Gladstone is slated to star alongside Isabel Deroy-Olson on the upcoming film Fancy Dance which revolves around the story of a Native American aunt-niece pair searching for their missing relative on Oklahoma’s Seneca-Cayuga reservation.
The film is helmed by native American director Erica Tremblay, who was previously known for documentary films such as In The Turn.The actress made the rounds at the awards by winning acclaim for her performance as Mollie Kyle in Martin Scorcese’s Killers of The Flower Moon.
