Former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster said that he is earning 'peanuts' at National League leaders Wrexham after he joined them earlier this week.
Speculation about his wage has been rife as supporters of teams in the fifth tier complained that the shot stopper's signing highlighted the gulf in finances between Wrexham and the rest of the division.
However, Foster has dispelled those rumours, suggesting that his salary is nowhere near what he was earning at his last club Watford.
Speaking on Fozcast, the ex-United man's own podcast, the 39-year-old said: "I don’t need much [money]. To be honest, the negotiations took about five minutes.
