The First Minister has insisted that the SNP are the “first choice for families” in the upcoming Rutherglen and Hamilton West by-election as he visited a local nursery school.Humza Yousaf and by-election candidate Katy Loudon visited Ace Place Nursery on Friday, September 15, and said that SNP policies, such as the pledge to expand paid-for childcare provision to even more families across Scotland, ensures his party is the best choice for local families.In government, the SNP has introduced policies such as 1140 hours of paid-for childcare for all three and four-year-olds, the Baby Box, free school meals for children in primary one to five and the Scottish Child Payment which it is said has lifted 90,000 children out of poverty.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
