Fans point out funny detail as Gogglebox's Malone family share heartwarming dog update

As viewers of Channel 4's Gogglebox will know, the programme's stalwart Malone family are extremely fond of their pet dogs. The family's four-legged friends have made regular appearances on screen as Tom Snr, Julie and their children have appeared from their home on the hit show.

The Manchester family have had several Rottweiler dogs since making their Gogglebox debut in 2014. However, last year they announced that one of the pets, Lucy, had died only seven months after they lost another dog, Izzey.

Months later, however, they had happier news to share as in September 2022 they announced they had welcomed a Rottweiler puppy into their home, naming her Tilly. "She's soooo cute," they said at the time on Instagram. "We are all smitten." The dog looks much larger than the initial snap posted in 2022, and is seen having a deep snooze while lying on a grey leather chair. "Tilly's getting big!" Julie said. "Tired out after annoying Dave to play with her!" When the Malones appear on Gogglebox they are customarily seen in their living room with a plate of treats such as cakes or biscuits placed in front of their chairs.
