Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov believes Manchester City ace Julian Alvarez can benefit from being in Erling Haaland's shadow.
Alvarez, who helped Argentina win the World Cup in Qatar last year, has made a highly encouraging start to this season, scoring seven goals and registering four assists in his first 15 appearances.
His attacking output is a direct result of him forcing his way into manager Pep Guardiola's first-choice starting XI. The Argentine, who will turn 24 in January, has started all of City's opening nine Premier League games this season, chipping in with four goals and three assists.
He has often linked up with Haaland, who has operated just ahead of him, forming a deadly partnership.
