Pep Guardiola believes Jack Grealish could play in a central role for Manchester City after finishing the win against Young Boys at the Etihad in that role.
Jeremy Doku came on for Mateo Kovacic with just over 10 minutes to go at the Etihad and Guardiola lined the Belgian on the left, Phil Foden on the right and Grealish in a central attacking role, with Julian Alvarez an unused substitute.
Grealish was superb in the second half against the Swiss champions and produced a lively cameo when unleashed centrally, having had very little chance to play that role in his City career since his £100million switch from Aston Villa, where he was regularly used in the middle to influence games. Guardiola certainly believes Grealish could play there for City, however, although it might require a freer role for him to do so than some of the other options. "He can do it.
