Pop singer Mike Nolan, who soared to fame after winning Eurovision - which returns later this month - for the UK in the band Bucks Fizz, has announced that he is stepping down from the group after 43 years.
The band have been continuing to perform under their new name, The Fizz, with original members Mike, Cheryl Baker and Jay Aston over recent years.
However, appearing on Michael Ball’s Radio 2 show this week, they made the sad announcement. Mike, 69, sharing that his departure is for 'personal reasons' and will be effective from the end of the year.
