Esther Martin, who was savaged to death by XL bullies in Essex, died of "unsurvivable" dog bite wounds, an inquest has heard.
Police discovered the 68-year-old grandmother unresponsive inside a property in Jaywick on February 3 at around 4pm after being called to a disturbance, an inquest hearing in Chelmsford heard today (Thursday).
Ms Martin, who was staying at the address in Hillman Avenue but lived in Woodford Green in east London, was found along with "two large dogs", coroner's officer Andy Flack told the hearing. just click here to give it a go. Ms Martin was pronounced dead at 4.47pm and her medical cause of death was recorded as "dog bite wounds to the upper right limb", he told the inquest.
