In September 2016, she began appearing as a panellist on Loose Women and in November of the same year she presented the I'm a Celebrity spin-off series I'm a Celebrity: Extra Camp.

Emmerdale couple thrown into 'turmoil' as star shares first comments on 'heartbreaking' baby health storyline

There is heartbreak ahead for Dawn and Billy Fletcher in Emmerdale when they receive the devastating diagnosis that their young baby, Evan, has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

The shock news comes months after Evan's arrival at Home Farm and, every parent's worst nightmare, will throw the happy couple and their whole family unit - including their other Lucas and Clemmie - into utter turmoil.

The upcoming episodes have been produced with the support of the charity Leukaemia Care who are working closely with the Emmerdale production team on this storyline to ensure a realistic and authentic depiction. Working closely with Leukaemia Care, it's vital to us that we portray this story as accurately and sensitively as possible and do justice to those faced with a diagnosis like this and highlight the severe impact a long term illness like this can have on families lives." Colin Dyer, CEO at Leukaemia Care also commented: "Every year 10,000 people are diagnosed with leukaemia in the UK.
