Two men have appeared in court charged with murder after human remains were discovered in multiple locations across Greater Manchester.

Michal Jaroslaw Polchowski, 68, and Marcin Majerkiewicz, 42, were in the dock at Tameside Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon (April 29).

The pair both wore grey tracksuits as they were read the charge of murder via Polish interpreters. Appearing in court, the men, both of Worsley Road, Eccles, spoke only to confirm their names and dates of birth. "There is an allegation of murder.

This allegation is that between March 25, 2024, and April 2, 2024, you murdered a person unknown. This is contrary to common law." Prosecuting, Mr Gareth Hughes told Magistrates that Mr Polchowski and Mr Majerkiewicz's case must go to the Crown Court.
