The First Minister has said he ‘will not rest’ until WASPI demonstrators at the Scottish Parliament win their fight for compensation for women affected by changes to the state pension age.Last week, Lanarkshire Live reported how Burnside woman, Anne Potter, co-ordinator for Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Dunbartonshire and Renfrewshire WASPI (Women Against State Pension Inequality) branch, has been leading the fight for the pension rights of women in this area since 2016.The UK government passed legislation in 1995 raising the state pension age for women from 60 to 65 gradually to equalise it with the pension age for males.
