An easyJet passenger had to 'run off to be sick' due to sweltering temperatures onboard caused by a broken air con, disgruntled travellers have claimed.The 6.10pm flight from Birmingham to Edinburgh on Thursday, September 7, was delayed due to the issue and passengers were removed from the plane around 40 minutes after boarding.

Annoyed passengers forced to wait on the tarmac until the issue was resolved said the plane was 'hotter than a sauna', Birmingham Live reports.Travellers boarded the easyJet service around one hour late at 7.17pm but were removed just after 8pm and eventually allowed back on at 8.55pm.Photographs posted online show travellers standing outside on the tarmac with their hand luggage as they wait for the air con to be fixed.Passenger Gavin Curran described the situation as a "total joke".

Posting on X, formerly Twitter, he said: "Total joke. Hotter than a sauna. Very poor. Guy next to me had to run off to be sick."While Maninder Singh Kalkat tweeted: "Stranded on the tarmac of Birmingham Airport.

EasyJet flight which was scheduled to depart at 18:10 for Edinburgh. Delayed. Passengers disembarked two hours later as aircon faulty."EasyJet responded to disgruntled customers online asking them to get in touch via DM for assistance.
