EastEnders confirms Cindy Beale's return date after 25 years

Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting the moment that she steps foot on the Square for the first time in 25 years. As Peter Beale returns to Walford next week, it has become clear that her arrival will be soon.
With that in mind, on the BBC website, EastEnders has confirmed that the big day is Monday, 28 August. The programme description for that date reads: "After 25 years away, Cindy arrives back in the square, the Knights excitedly prepare for Anna’s surprise 21st birthday in the Vic, and there are fireworks as Kathy comes face to face with a ghost from her past." Some eagle-eyed viewers have been quick to pick up on the latest update, and they have shared their excitement on social media.
