EastEnders bosses have released the first sneak peek at Cindy Beale's return to Walford. Cindy, played by Michelle Collins, hasn't been seen on the Square in 25 years, and many residents think that she is dead.

However, she has been under witness protection for all of that time, and now is the time for her to return. Viewers will recall that in June, the soap aired a special episode which revealed that Cindy was living abroad with Ian and Peter Beale under the name of Rose Knight.

During that episode, Ian asked to go back to London after Cindy's witness protection ended, but she insisted that she was happy as things were.

What they don't know is, Cindy's two daughters, Anna and Gina Knight, which she had whilst living as Rose, are now living in the Queen Vic with their dad George.
