A six year-old girl was lucky to escape serious injury after one of her Crocs shoes got trapped in an escalator at a Primark store, her mum says.
Emma Harris, 41, was shopping with her daughter at the Trafford Centre in June. She said they took the escalator up to the children's department when her daughter suddenly let out a 'panicked' shriek as the mechanical steps neared the top.
Emma said she heard the sound of the metal 'grabbing' at the shoe - and managed to pull at her daughter's right leg "I pulled her leg and the back of the Croc snapped as the escalator was pulling the shoe in," said Emma, a mum-of-two from Salford. "The escalator pulled her shoe and within seconds, it was severed through.
Had she not have yelled out and been stood next to me, and had the shoe not snapped, freeing her foot, the injury could have been life-changing.
