A Paisley mother says she has been left suffering from panic attacks as she hits out at Renfrewshire Council for failing to tackle a rat infestation at her home.Susan Cardno’s Ferguslie flat has been overrun by rodents for the past seven months.

They have been found dead in her kitchen, been running along the wall cavities and even chewed through plasterboard to get into her daughter’s bedroom.Although pest controllers have laid traps and poison, Susan says the rats keep returning.
