The long-awaited sequel to Tim Burton's 1988 classic, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, has finally hit the cinemas and instantly captured the hearts of moviegoers. The original team is back with Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O'Hara reprising their iconic roles as Betelgeuse, Lydia Deetz, and Delia Deetz, joined by fresh faces Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Jenna Ortega, and Willem Dafoe in the ensemble.Yet, Jeffrey Jones who played Lydia's father Charles Deetz in the first Beetlejuice film, was noticeably absent from the new instalment and has remained silent on his non-involvement.Jones' life took a turn following his arrest in 2002, and in 2003 he entered a no contest plea to child pornography possession charges.

His sentence included five years probation and mandatory counselling, alongside a lifelong requirement to register as a sex offender.

Reflecting on the court ruling at the time, Jones had remarked: "This concludes a really painful chapter in my life. I am sorry that this incident was allowed to occur.

Such an event has never happened before and it will never happen again," reports the Mirror. In 2004 and 2010, he faced arrests for not updating his status as a sex offender.
