theplaylist.netSure, everyone is excited about James Gunn’s “Superman” as the kickoff of his massive DCU reboot, but the true debut of the new universe happens sooner with this year’s “Creature Commandos.” And at San Diego Comic-Con, we got our first real look at the animated series.
As seen in the teaser, Creature Commandos shares much of the same style and tone Gunn has brought to his other superhero projects, such as “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “The Suicide Squad.” Basically, the series is about a group of disparate characters—Rick Flag Sr., Doctor Phosphorus, Weasel, the Bride of Frankenstein, Eric Frankenstein, G.I.
