Coronation Street star joins Emmerdale as mysterious new arrival John Sugden – and it's bad news for Victoria
ok.co.ukActor Oliver Farnworth is confirmed to be making his debut in Emmerdale in August and will join the soap as John Sugden. Described as ‘brooding’ and ‘mysterious’, John arrives holding some secrets of his own.
But what relationship is John to Victoria and what does his arrival mean to her? Emmerdale have confirmed that John will introduce fresh challenges to the Sugdens and will become entwined with the family history.
But that he’ll also catch the eye of an unsuspecting resident. On joining the show, Oliver said: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining the cast of Emmerdale.The show has such a rich history, and the Sugden family is integral to that.
I’m looking forward to bringing my character to life and working with such a talented and dedicated team." Oliver’s first scenes as John are set to air in August.
