Coronation Street's Sair Khan has candidly spoken about the emotional rollercoaster she's been on since becoming a mum and welcoming her first baby into the world.The 36-year-old soap star, who surprised her followers last month with the announcement of her new arrival, took to Instagram to give an insight into her life as a new mum.

She shared: "The last few weeks have been tough but beautiful." Opening up about the realities of motherhood, the actress whose Corrie's character Alya Nazir left Weatherfield last month for a new job in Dublin, said: "Navigating the ups and downs of the postnatal period with each day and night rolling into the next and countless challenges with latching and feeding.

We've been to sort little man's tongue tie this morning so hopefully it'll be the beginning of more settled times! ". Her emotional post received a flurry of kind comments from her co-stars, including some Weatherfield legends.

Sair also talked about how she's been coping at home, saying: "With feeds keeping us busy around the clock, it's been so easy for me to stay home for days on end but I've also been quite content working my way through every season of Suits as that's all my brain and body can manage.
