Royal watchers have been able to breathe a sigh of relief after Princess Anne was allowed to move out of hospital following her concussion and her husband gave a touching tribute to the hospital that nursed her back to health.

She is expected to stay home to rest and recuperate until her medical team tells her she is healthy enough to return to royal duties. The Princess spent five days at Southmead Hospital, an NHS hospital in Bristol, after suffering an impact from a horse and obtaining a minor head injury.
Her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, thanked the hospital for their care, expertise and kindness. The 73-year-old is no stranger to horses, as she rode in the 1976 Montreal Olympics where she competed in the equestrian three-day event.
