One photo sees actor Chris Gascoyne, who has played the role since 2000, sat on a tram with a backpack, suggesting that he may be making a rather low-profile exit from Weatherfield.
It comes after the character was left riddled with guilt after he ran over serial killer Stephen Reid, and while fans had originally predicted that Peter may end up behind bars over Stephen's death, recent episodes saw him given the all clear by the police.
Fans have since been speculating that Peter could relapse into alcohol addiction and leave to go to rehab, or that he may end up taking his own life over his guilt.
