Comic-book king Mark Millar's latest show 'The Chosen One' set to hit Netflix next week
dailyrecord.co.ukComic-book guru Mark Millar is "really pleased" with the "great" new show based on his work set to hit Netflix next week. The Coatbridge writer and producer can't wait for viewers to see fantasy series The Chosen One , which is screening on the streaming platform from August 16.
Based on the comic-book series American Jesus by Mark and Peter Gross, it follows Jody (played by Bobby Luhnow) who discovers he has the abilities of Jesus Christ and is destined to confront the Anti-Christ.

Unlike the source material, The Chosen One takes place in Mexico instead of the United States and will predominately be in Spanish.
