Kyogo has been told back up should be coming in the January transfer window with Celtic urged to recruit another forward.The Japanese talisman has been very much holding down the fort in an attacking sense for Brendan Rodgers' side, with only young South Korean Oh being a recognised centre-forward at Parkhead.
Kyogo isn't shy in front of goal but has experienced recurring injury issues, with many Hoops fans believing the club have not effectively replaced Greek attacker Giorgos Giakoumakis who left for the MLS.
Rodgers moved to sign the likes of Luis Palma and Yang on the wings, but one Hoops hero reckons the nifty Kyogo needs support.Australian Scott McDonald was prolific in front of goal in green and white as a smaller in stature striker, and he reckons going to market in the winter to bolster forward options will only yield better performances from the Japanese.
He also has to be put under 'more pressure' in a Celtic jersey.On Kyogo, he told PLZ Soccer: "It's difficult in European games because you can't get the eights high enough to support him.
