Hatate roared back to life when he dragged and flicked the ball in one lightning movement to set sail for the game’s opening goal.Having left marker David Watson for dead, the silky playmaker subsequently drove towards Derek McInnes’ defence and sold another dummy to open a gaping gap before drilling into the net.
It wasn’t just lift-off for Celtic’s win. It was a lift-off for Hatate’s season. By his own admission, the 25-year-old admits it’s not been the beginning to the campaign that he wanted.
Having been left out of the starting line-up by his new gaffer for the opening two games, Hatate sustained an injury which kept him out for a month.Upon return, the talented midfielder was still unable to find his top gear as he built his fitness back up to full power.
