Fern Britton said she joined Celebrity Big Brother for a new adventure - and not to 'spill the beans' on her former colleague Phillip Schofield.

The hit reality show relaunched on ITV on Monday night (March 4) after six years away. Joining Britton in the iconic house is a stellar line-up of famous faces, including Coronation Street's Colson Smith, Kate Middleton's uncle Gary Goldsmith and Netflix star Bradley Riches.

But Britton, 66, confirmed she would be approaching the topic of Schofield with "caution and kindness" during her appearance on the show.

The presenter hosted This Morning alongside Schofield for eight years before exiting in 2009 and said she had joined Big Brother looking for a new adventure at the age of 66 and not to divulge information about her former co-star.
