Candis Cayne & Danna Davis Launch Trans-Focused Production Company Mary, It’s Mary Productions & Set Development Projects
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Candis Cayne, who made her name as one of the only trans actresses on TV when she featured on ABC drama series Dirty Sexy Money, has launched a trans-focused production company.
Cayne, who also starred on Syfy’s The Magicians, has teamed up with Danna Davis, who has worked with Cayne on a number of projects to launch Mary, It’s Mary Productions.
This comes after the duo produced Candis Cayne’s Secret Garden, a ten-part series that airs on the Advocate Channel and Youtube.
The pair co-created, wrote, directed and exec produced the series, which starred Cayne. The company is developing a number of television series and films about all aspects of trans life – activism, healthcare access, acceptance in Hollywood and local and Federal Government laws and bans.
