Four charged after police probe into suspected Manchester drugs line to Somerset

Four people - three men and a boy aged 17 - have been charged after a police investigation into a suspected drugs line between Manchester and Somerset.

The charges follow arrests made last month by Avon and Somerset Police in the Bridgwater area of Somerset. All four have been charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of drugs, namely heroin and cocaine, GMP said. A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons because of his age, was also charged with possession of heroin. Additionally, Greater Manchester Police said Coburn was also charged with being in possession of cannabis and with affray, possession of a bladed article and two counts of wounding with intent in connection with alleged offences in Manchester last year.

GMP said in a statement: "The three adults were remanded into custody, while the teenager was released on court bail. "Four people charged following investigation into a drugs line between Somerset and Manchester. "Officers have worked with Avon and Somerset Police, who carried out two searches in Bridgwater, Somerset, on Thursday 22 February 2024, where they arrested four people. "They were all charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs (heroin and cocaine)."
