Businesses and residents give generously to MP Anum Qaisar's Advent calendar appeal

Generous businesses and residents across Airdrie & Shotts donated in their droves to smash the target of an Advent calendar appeal.

Local MP Anum Qaisar asked constituents to donate the festive treats to be distributed by good causes including Airdrie Community School Uniform Bank and Shotts-based Paul’s Parcels.

They responded in numers with more than 2300 being donated – more than twice the number given last year – with the calendars then being handed out through local schools.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
