A violent farm worker left his girlfriend a 'shell of her former self' after taking control of her entire life and subjecting her to years of terrifying abuse.

Joshua Boyd, 23, controlled who his 18-year-old victim went out with, what pictures she could put on Instagram and where she should go on holiday, Chester Crown Court heard.
