A 15-year-old boy riding an electric bike has died having smashed into a parked ambulance after being followed by police. A huge emergency services response was launched following the incident.

Police and paramedics were pictured along Langworthy Road on Thursday afternoon (June 8) following the fatal incident. Police blocked off the road for a number of hours as serious collision investigators trawled the scene for evidence.

Bollards 'prevented the police vehicle from continuing to follow' the rider, GMP said. Moments later, a 'collision occurred between the cyclist and the ambulance'.
