Woman rushed to hospital after being 'on fire' on busy city street

Police have launched a probe after being called to reports of a woman on fire on Friday evening.Mercy crews were scrambled to Wellfield Road, Roath, Cardiff, around 8.20pm last night.A 33-year-old woman was rushed to hospital where she is currently being treated for her injuries.

Her condition is not yet known.A police investigation to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remains ongoing, Wales Online reports.A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: "At 8.22pm last night a report was received of a female on fire at Wellfield Road, Roath."A 33-year-old woman was taken to hospital where she continues to receive treatment for her injuries. "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances."
