Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction

manchestereveningnews.co.ukA 15-year-old boy from Rochdale has been charged with multiple offences in connection with the sale of weapons online. Detectives from Merseyside have charged the teenager with three offences.
The offences are offering for sale / hire offensive weapons, publishing material suggesting that a knife is suitable for combat and the manufacture, sale or hire, or offer for sale or hire, expose or have in their possession for the purpose of sale or hire, a flick or gravity knife.
The teen will appear at Merseyside Youth Remand Court today (Friday, July 5).
