BBC Strictly star gives birth early forcing her to pull out of Royal Variety Show

Strictly Come Dancing star Ellie Taylor has given birth after going into labour early. The comedian and TV star, 39, who was partnered up with professional dancer Johannes Radebe during the BBC One dance competition last year, has welcomed a baby boy.

As a result, Ellie, who is already mum to five year old daughter Valentina, was unfortunately forced to pull out of her scheduled gig at the Royal Variety Performance in London.The Ted Lasso actress shared a teaser snap as she recovered in hospital, along with a glimpse of her adorable little tot.

Wearing surgical white socks and cuddled up in bed, Ellie wrapped her arms around her little one, as he lay snoozing under a green blanket.

The newborn baby boy was also wearing a knitted bright red beanie hat, and Ellie also posted a look at her fabulous gold sparkly dress that she'd planned to wear for the variety show. "This is the fabulous outfit I was meant to be wearing tonight while doing stand-up at the @royalvarietyperformance in front of 4,000 people, including @princeandprincessofwales," Ellie captioned her post, which also included a fabulous mirror selfie of her during prep for the event. "Swipe to see the actual outfit I’ll be wearing tonight due to the surprise early arrival of my own little HRH… "Gutted to miss out but also very very happy to be wearing giant mesh knickers and saying “But his skin is just so SOFT!” ten times an hour," the star continued."Mother and baby doing well because mummy has access to morphine and baby has access to boobies," Ellie went on, in her trademark signature wit.
