The family of a BBC star are believed to be the victims of a suspected crossbow murder. John Hunt, a racing commentator for BBC Five Live, reportedly came home from work to find his wife and two daughters "shot dead".

Despite medics' best efforts, all three, aged 25, 28 and 61, were tragically later pronounced dead at the scene. Hertfordshire Police are now on the hunt for their suspected killer, 26 year old Kyle Clifford, following the attack that took place in Ashlyn Close Tuesday evening (9 July). The public has been urged to call 999 immediately if they spot Kyle but have been warned not to approach him as he may still be armed.

Detective Superintendent Rob Hall from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit said: "This is an incredibly difficult incident for the victims’ family and we would ask that their privacy is respected as they come to terms with what has happened", reports the Daily Star.

They continued: "Whilst we are still in the early stages of this investigation, we are actively seeking Kyle Clifford who we believe could be in the areas of Hertfordshire or North London. "Given the serious nature of the incident, I would ask anyone who knows where he is to contact police immediately.
