BBC Morning Live presenter Helen Skelton has shared an update about the future of the daytime show, weeks after it was taken off air.Helen, who co-hosts the show with Gethin Jones and Michelle Ackerley, confirmed that the popular programme will return on Monday, August 26.Gethin had previously announced that Morning Live would be taking a break during his 'last show' statement on Thursday, July 18.

He told viewers: "That's it for today, it's our last show tomorrow before a bit of a summer break, we'll see you at 9:30am, thanks all."The official BBC Morning Live Instagram account recently posted a video of Helen announcing the show's return.

The caption alongside the video confirmed: "Morning Live will be back in 4 weeks! Join us on Monday 26th August, BBC One at 9.30am!" reports WalesOnline.Fans have expressed their excitement about the news, with one saying: "Will be ready and waiting." Another said: "Cant wait." While a third admitted they were "missing the morning show".Initially, the show was replaced by Rip Off Britain before the Olympics coverage took its slot.During the show's hiatus, Helen, a mother of three, has been sharing family photos with her 509k Instagram followers, documenting their summer adventures including idyllic days in the countryside and beach holidays abroad.Meanwhile, Gethin revealed that he had a catch-up with another Morning Live regular, Kym Marsh, while newlywed Michelle shared snaps of herself unwinding by a pool. Morning Live returns to BBC1 on Monday, August 26 at 9.30am
