With the Paralympics underway, OK! speaks to three athletes who are heading to the iconic city as part of ParalympicsGB, including Jack Smith who is part of Great Britain’s wheelchair rugby team.
The sportsman found the wheelchair game after breaking his neck playing the sport, and he wouldn't have made the Toyko Games in 2021 if it hadn't been delayed for a year as he was undergoing cancer treatment.
Here he tells his story... “I got into rugby through school initially. I remember the first time I did it in games, I thought it was the worst thing ever.
You know, why do we throw the ball backwards to move forwards? But I ended up really enjoying it. After my accident, I met a guy in hospital from the local club and he knew my background playing rugby and asked if I wanted to go down and give it a go, so I did.
