A BBC Breakfast presenter had to apologise this morning when footage of Huw Edwards was aired by mistake. The flagship morning show played an old episode of Newswatch from 2017 but dramatically pulled the footage three minutes in when Huw appeared.
Huw is currently suspended from the station after being named as the BBC presenter accused of paying a teen for explicit images.
He has not appeared on television since presenting the BBC News on July 5th. However, this morning Huw was seen on BBC One fronting a report about Hurricane Maria before the clip cut back to presenter Ben Thompson in the Breakfast studio. right now Looking awkward, Ben told viewers: "So you might have noticed, the eagle eyed viewers amongst you, that that was quite an old episode of Newswatch so we will find the right one and make sure we can bring that to you a little later.
