All homes in England face major recycling and food waste collection change

Households across England have been warned that some major recycling changes will take place in a few years. The government said the current systems for recycling in England is equivalent to a "postcode lottery" with different areas having different rules.

However, it added that by 2026, recycling rules will become standards for all households, regardless of which part of the country they're in.

A once-a-week collection requirement for food waste will also be implemented to reduce landfills.
