The BBC has announced a major shake-up of its 6 Music schedule — meaning a Manc music legend will lose his standalone show. From June, Marc Riley will share his evening slot with Gideon Coe as part of a slew of changes to the station’s night-time programming.
A new show, called New Music Fix Daily, will occupy the 7pm-9pm slot from Monday to Thursdays. That will be fronted by Tom Ravenscroft and Deb Grant, presenting from Salford.
Riley & Coe will then follow that, from 10pm to midnight.
