Jamie Murphy insists Ayr are keeping their feet on the ground after a six goal romp against 10-man Alloa in the Viaplay Cup.
United coasted to victory as they topped Group A, securing themselves an all important seeding for the knockout stages.Murphy was one of five different scorers as Ayr returned to their Somerset home for the first time this season and put on a performance befitting of the occasion.
But the veteran playmaker says nobody within Lee Bullen's dressing room will be getting carried away by their early results. He told the Ayrshire Post: "It's been a good start to the season - but it's just a start.
We now need to kick on and continue this with the start of the league next week, but the main thing is we've given ourselves a good platform to go and do that."Training has been good and we've carried it into the games so far.
