Arthurlie manager Colin Reilly is confident summer recruit Dylan Dykes can be a “massive player” for the Barrhead club this season. The Dunterlie Park crowd got a first competitive glimpse of several new signings who have recently joined the club in Saturday’s WoSFL Premier Division opener. One of the stars of their exciting 4-3 win against Cumnock Juniors was Dykes, who has only recently recovered from cancer.
The former Rangers youth star, who most recently turned out for Pollok, bagged a crucial brace – with the other efforts both own goals.
Mo Sugafara, who also just linked up with ‘Lie, was named player of the match after an impressive showing of his own on the wing. And Reilly is delighted with how quickly his new signings have settled into the groove in Barrhead.Reilly told the Paisley Daily Express: “Dylan has been fantastic for us since he’s come in.“He’s a real threat and such a talented boy.“He can be a massive player for us.
