Experts are torn about whether Manchester City’s Premier League titles will be stripped should they be found guilty of financial violations by an independent commission.
The Daily Mail reported on Thursday that City will go head-to-head with top-flight chiefs next autumn. The Premier League allege 155 offences have been committed between 2009 and 2018 relating to breaching financial regulations.
The legal wrangle has cast a cloud over the Etihad in recent times, with Everton’s case against the Premier League increasing the focus on City.
