manchestereveningnews.co.ukNeighbours have described scenes of chaos after two men were seriously hurt following a dispute over fireworks in Bolton. Police were called to the Halliwell Road areaat 1am this morning (Monday 11 September) following reports of fireworks being set off.
Greater Manchester Police said they also received more calls relating to a fight that had broken out in the same area. Two men sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital to receive treatment. Multiple cordons were put in place by police on Maria Street/Gladstone Street, Madeley Gardens, Bride Street and Weymouth Street where blood was seen on the ground.
Many residents and business owners of the busy Halliwell Road told the M.E.N that they were woken up by the fireworks that lead to the large scale brawl.
