Aldi looking for Scots with best home bar to win a year's supply of beer

Aldi Scotland's much-loved 'Best Home Bar' competition is back, offering a year's supply of beer as the grand prize.Last year's winner was Bob Carter from Dumfries, who impressed with his 'Garage Bar', complete with horse saddle bar stools and traditional hand-pulls.

Whether it's a garden shed turned classic pub or a unique cosy corner in the house, Aldi Scotland will reward the most creative home bar with a 12-month supply of ice-cold beer at home.The lucky winner can choose from a variety of beers featured in the retailer's Scottish Beer Festival, providing an opportunity to taste top-quality, locally produced craft brews from across Scotland.The 'Best Home Bar' competition coincides with the launch of Aldi Scotland's Spring Scottish Beer Festival, which kicked off this week on April 25, showcasing everything from citrus IPAs to chocolate stouts with prices starting from just £1.89.One of the first breweries to be featured in Aldi Scotland's campaign is Aberdeen's Fierce Beer.

Aldi was the brewery’s first-ever customer with them being known for its unique and flavourful beers.Fierce Beer are set to showcase a range of fruity craft beers, including a light and zesty tangerine pale ale and a lemon meringue pie sour.The lineup also includes beers from Cold Town Brewing, Loch Lomond Brewery and Glen Affric, all of which will be available for purchase in-store this week.Graham Nicolson, Regional Managing Director at Aldi Scotland, said: "We were so pleased with the popularity of our 'Best Home Bar' competition last year which shone a light on the creativity of Scottish consumers.
