Blackpool has always been a favourite destination for days out and fun during the summer holidays. And for kids big and small, Blackpool Pleasure Beach has provided generations with fantastic memories.

The Lancashire theme park first opened in 1896 and attracts over five million visitors a year. Many visitors are attracted to the seaside theme park for the white knuckle rides like the Big One and Icon, while others are attracted to water rides like Valhalla or family orientated rides like the Ghost Train. Of course, over the years, many of the rides and attractions we remember so vividly from our childhood will have been lost due to shake-ups, or having been there for decades, come to the end of their life.

So, to celebrate the Pleasure Beach rides we've loved and lost, the M.E.N. has listed some of our favourites lost over time.

Lancs Live first took a look back at some of the lost rides back in 2020 but we've updated the list with a few new additions. This won't be a complete list of all the lost rides, so any you loved and feel should have been mentioned let us know in the comments below. A slide, a spinning wheel, moving stairs, and more.
