A couple took a chance on a triangular house that 'no one wanted' and have since turned it into a perfect home. The end-terrace property is well-known by residents in Cardiff for its unique shape, but its derelict state and location near to a brothel was putting house-hunters off.

When it went up for sale, Gareth Shaw, 46, became intrigued and after viewing it, he wanted to bring the quirkyhome back to life - much to the dismay of his wife Nayra.

He eventually persuaded her, but decided to keep the property's neighbours to himself. Fast forward two years and the couple have now transformed the house from rundown to remarkable, with Gareth doing much of the work himself with DIY - and it now looks completely different to its former state.
