Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney is hopeful Erik ten Hag will have made the improvements necessary to challenge Manchester City next season.
United finished third during the last campaign which was seen as a marked improvement on the season prior but still finished 14 points behind Pep Guardiola's men.
City went on to make history as they went on to clinch the Treble, a feat which had only previously been match by the Reds in 1999.
